The Punjabi Cultural Association was established in July 1955. In mid fifties many
Punjabis settled in Pune after partition of our Motherland. A group of Punjabis led by Late.
Shri. Balbir Singh Lamba started social and cultural activities with their families. Regular
get-togethers were arranged .
Subsequently the Punjabi Cultural Association was formed and registered as a Trust on
23rd May 1958 under the Bombay Trust act 1950. Late Mrs. Santosh Lamba was the First
President. The Association started functioning smoothly and celebration of functions like festival of
Harvest Baisakhi and Festival of Winter Lohri became the regular feature of the association.
